About the Event
About Porter Martin
Porter Martin is a country singer-songwriter with a knack for heartfelt storytelling and a voice rooted in tradition. Raised in Demopolis, Alabama, Porter’s love for music sparked at just 12 years old after being captivated by performances at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café. Two years later, he picked up a guitar and went from strumming Eagles covers to writing songs of his own. Since his debut at the Bluebird in 2014, an experience he recalls as “feeling like I was playing Nissan Stadium,” Porter has logged over 3,000 live shows across the country. Along the way, he’s shared the stage with country heavyweights like Montgomery Gentry, Cole Swindell, Brantley Gilbert, and Dierks Bentley, and has written alongside hitmakers including Lainey Wilson and Jordan Davis. Porter’s music reflects his traditional country roots, blending timeless melodies with evocative lyrics that resonate with the heart of small-town America. His debut single, “the cowboy,” featured in the major motion picture trailer for REAGAN, channels nostalgia and the simplicity of days gone by—inviting listeners to see themselves in every verse.
About Daniel Houze
From the heart of Lauderdale County, Mississippi emerges Daniel Houze, a country artist whose late-blooming musical journey proves that authentic talent knows no timeline. Just eight years ago, at age 28, a casual guitar lesson from friend Tyler Torgerson sparked what would become an unstoppable passion. Within six months of first strumming a chord, Houze was booking shows, demonstrating a natural ability that belied his newcomer status. His rapid ascent in the Southeast music scene has included memorable performances at iconic venues like the Flora-Bama and appearances alongside established artists, including a notable spot at the 2023 CMA Fest with Todd Tilghman and opening duties for Jeff Bates. Since releasing his debut single "Tequila Rose" in 2019, Houze has consistently delivered music that bridges the gap between contemporary and traditional country, as evidenced in releases like "Whiskey & Smoke" (2023) and "American Dream" (2024). Now signed with Nashville's Lovable Losers Music Group, he's making his mark in Music City, regularly performing at renowned venues like The Tin Roof and collaborating with respected songwriters including Porter Martin, Dan Smalley, and Bryce Mauldin. Whether on stage or in the writing room, Houze's genuine smile and down-home authenticity shine through, reflecting the values of his Mississippi roots while carving out his own path in country music.
