About the Event

About Kensie Coppin

Kensie Coppin is a powerhouse Texas country singer-songwriter with over two decades of commanding stages with her authentic, traditional sound. Born in South Texas, she began performing at age eight and achieved the rare milestone of singing on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage at just 11 and 12 years old. She became a regular at iconic Texas venues like Gruene Hall, Cheatham Street Warehouse, and The Cotton Club. Coppin spent six defining years touring Texas alongside William Clark Green on his Ringling Road tour, building a loyal fanbase and earning prestigious independent bookings. Today, her live reach extends globally with international tours across Europe, including Sweden and Denmark.

Coppin's solo career has yielded massive chart success and industry validation. Her breakout single "Texas in Me" rocketed to #1 on the Texas Music Chart and climbed to #20 on the Texas Billboard Chart. Her touring years also produced two Top 40 singles on the Texas Country charts. She won the CMA of Texas Artist of the Year award in 2022. Then, in 2025, “Texas In Me” won Country Single of the Year at the Texas Country Music Association Awards. Kensie has also been nominated for two years in a row for 2025 and 2026 for Female Artist of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association.

As a dynamic songwriter, her talents gained momentum after relocating to Nashville, where she collaborated with acclaimed writers including D. Vincent Williams, Curly Putman, Lee Tucker, Terri Jo Box, and Barrett Baber. Her songwriting catalog broke through when she penned "My Kind of Weathered" for the band Kin Faux, which dominated as the #1 song in Texas for five consecutive weeks. Following this, Coppin signed with FAME Records in Muscle Shoals, releasing a string of popular singles in 2025 & 2026, including "Honky Tonk In Heaven," "Heartbreak Queen," "Texas In Me," and "Goodbye Old Friend.” Kensie and the FAME Records team are wrapping up a new album to be released soon.

Beyond music, Coppin advocates for fellow creators and works closely with recovery centers to support mental health and addiction initiatives.
